WPI Helps to Build an Eco-Friendly Data Center in Puyallup, Washington
After 12 months of construction, WPI is proud to have completed their scope of work on the South Hill Data Center project in Puyallup, Washington. The data center provides 56,605 square feet of raised floor space and a robust critical infrastructure which is scalable up to 260 watts of power per square foot. This state of the art new data center was awarded the Gold Certification from the US Green Building Council's LEED program for the design, construction and operation of energy efficient buildings. Getting its electricity from both hydroelectric and wind sources, the South Hill Data Center leverages local, natural resources to achieve sustainability and cost-efficiency.
WPI's scope of work on this project included interior and exterior framing, interior and exterior sheathing, insulation and caulking, finish taping, and plaster finish.
WPI was awarded the 2011 Outstanding Project of the Year Award from the Northwest Wall & Ceiling Bureau in the Commercial Exterior category based on the high level of workmanship displayed by the WPI tradesmen on this project.
