WPI Helps Build a Stunning Continuing Care Retirement Community for Pacific Retirement Services

In October 2006, WPI began working to help construct the Mirabella Retirement Community in downtown Seattle, Washington. The owner, Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. wanted their exclusive continuing care retirement community to be built with the highest quality and be completed on time.

By the time construction was finished, the owner was so impressed with the work and professionalism of WPI's employees that they invited WPI to help construct their next retirement community in the South Waterfront area of Portland, Oregon. Once again, the bar for construction quality and scheduling would be set high.

WPI was more than up to the task. Construction for the Portland facility began in February, 2009. Within 19 months, WPI completed their scope of work on the stunning new 30-story South Waterfront retirement community. WPI's exterior scope of work on this project included metal stud framing, sheathing, and waterproofing. WPI's interior work included additional metal stud framing, drywall, taping, plastering, and the installation of Barrisol Stretch Ceilings. We also installed a Level 5 finish directly to the concrete ceilings in the residential apartments.

Along with workout, physical therapy, and swimming facilities, the Mirabella Portland Retirement Community also contains upscale dining areas and a beautiful library. In addition, this opulent retirement community includes a wood-working shop, private storage areas, underground parking, and 238 stylish apartment homes. The apartment homes are offered in an array of floor plans and feature 9-foot tall ceilings, extra-large windows, slab granite countertops, wood flooring, high-quality carpeting, and spectacular views of Mount Hood, the West Hills, the Willamette River, and the downtown skyline.
